CLOTHING CLOSET (TFN)
First Baptist Church in Center Ridge is holding a clothing closet every Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  The church is now accepting winter clothes donations for the closet.  For more information, call 242-1373.

ADULT EDUCATION (TFN)
The Adult Education Center at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton offers free classes to prepare adults in Conway and Perry Counties to earn a GED.  ESL classes are also offered free of charge for anyone at least 18 years of age.  For more information, call 215-4904.

STUFF THE STOCKING (TFN)
Volunteers are seeking donations of non-perishable food items, gently used or new toys and clothes, wrapping paper and cash to support the Stuff the Stocking project for children in Conway County.  The group is working to provide a special Christmas for 13 families and 32 children in need.  If you'd like to donate to the project, you can call Diane at 697-2618.

ANGEL TREE (TFN)
First Baptist Church of Center Ridge is hosting an Angel Tree for kids in Conway County.  If you would like to help, call 242-1373.  The church is also in need of 25 turkeys for holiday food boxes.

BAKE SALE (11/21/14)
The St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary will host its annual Thanksgiving bake sale on Friday (11/21/14) starting at 7:00 a.m. in the St. Vincent Morrilton dining room.

FLU CLINIC (11/21/14)
The Conway County Health Unit will hold its mass flu immunization clinic on Friday (11/21/14) beginning at 7:00 a.m. in the Kirk Building-Student Union at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.  The shots will be offered free of charge, but you are asked to bring your insurance card if available.

PRESCRIBED BURN (11/21/14)
Petit Jean State Park will be conducting a prescribed burn, weather permitting, of 170 acres in the Red Bluff Drive area on Friday (11/21/14) from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  Areas of the park that will be closed during this time include Red Bluff Drive, Rock House Cave and parts of the Boy Scout Trail.

SPAGHETTI FOR SENIORS (11/21/14)
The T.C. Vaughan Senior Adult Center in Morrilton will host a spaghetti and sausage dinner on Friday (11/21/14) from 4:00-6:30 p.m.  The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for kids.  Adults carryout meals are also available.  A silent auction and bake sale will also be held during the event.  Included in the silent auction will be a pair of box seat tickets to Saturday's Razorback football game.

PLUMERVILLE MASONIC LODGE (11/21/14)
The Plumerville Lodge of Free Masons will meet Friday (11/21/14) at 7:00 p.m.

DHS CHRISTMAS DONATIONS (11/22/14)
The Conway County Office of the Department of Human Services is collecting donations of toys and clothes for the foster children's Christmas project.  Volunteers will be outside Walmart in Morrilton on Saturday (11/22/14) from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  Donations can also be dropped off at the DHS office at #2 Bruce Street in Morrilton through December 15th.  

TREE-MENDOUS (11/22/14)
The Safe Place of Morrilton will hold its first annual Tree-mendous event on Saturday (11/22/14) at 10:30 a.m. at the Rialto Gallery in downtown Morrilton.  The event will include snacks and a silent auction with Christmas decorations, including trees, wreaths, centerpieces, ornaments and more.  To purchase tickets or for more information, call Vicki Ennis at 977-7375.

HOLIDAY FROM THE HEART (11/22/14)
The Sacred Heart Catholic School PTO will host Holiday from the Heart: A Hometown Shopping Extravaganza on Saturday (11/22/14) from 5:00-8:30 p.m. in the school gym.  A variety of storefront retailers and home-based businesses will be on hand.  The event will also include a chili and cinnamon roll dinner.

BENEFIT CONCERT (11/22/14)
A concert featuring Donnie Lee Strickland and a silent auction with homemade knives and artwork will be held Saturday (11/22/14) at 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Perryville.  Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for military and senior citizens and $5 for kids 12 and under.  A $1 discount will be given if you bring a non-perishable food item.  Concessions provided by the Fair Board will be available.  All proceeds from the event benefit Partners for Progress in Perry County.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE (11/23/14)
Morrilton's annual Christmas open house will be held Sunday (11/23/14) from 1:00-5:00 p.m.  Several downtown merchants will offer special discounts and have snacks and door prizes during this time.  The Morrilton Depot Museum will also have a bake sale during the event.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL (11/23/14)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Theatre Ensemble, in conjunction with the Rialto Community Arts Center, will present its fall production of "A Christmas Carol" on Thursday (11/20/14) and Friday (11/21/14) at 7:30 p.m., Saturday (11/22/14) at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday (11/23/14) at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be held in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium. Tickets are on sale at the UACCM Bookstore for $15 for adults and $10 for students.

QUORUM COURT (11/24/14)
The Conway County Quorum Court will meet Monday (11/24/14) at 6:00 p.m. at the courthouse in Morrilton.  The Budget and Finance Committee will meet immediately following the meeting to discuss the 2015 budget.  The Public Health and Safety Committee will meet prior to the Quorum Court meeting at 5:00 p.m.

AUDUBON SOCIETY (11/24/14)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (11/24/14) at Yesterday's Restaurant in Morrilton.  The group will eat at 6:00 p.m. and a film on "The Life of Birds" will start at 7:00.

BAKE SALE (11/25/14-11/26/14)
By the Book of Canaan Land, located at the base of Perry Mountain, will hold a Thanksgiving bake sale Tuesday (11/25/14) and Wednesday (11/26/14) from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.  For special orders, call 662-4377 or 215-3496.

OFFICES CLOSED (11/27/14-11/28/14)
The Conway County Courthouse, Morrilton City Hall and other government offices will be closed Thursday (11/27/14) and Friday (11/28/14) for Thanksgiving.  

TRASH PICKUP (11/27/14-11/28/14)
The City of Morrilton Landfill will be closed Thursday (11/27/14) for Thanksgiving.  It will reopen Friday (11/28/14).  DC Trash will run the Thursday trash pick-up route on Friday and the Friday recycle route will be picked up on Saturday.

MOUNTAIN RENDEZVOUS (11/28/14-11/30/14)
Petit Jean State Park will hold its 17th annual Mountain Rendezvous beginning Friday (11/28/14).  The camp will continue through Sunday (11/30/14).  Visitors will get a look at life during the 1830s and have a chance to visit with re-enactors portraying that time period.  The event is free.  For more information, call 727-5441.

TOY RUN (11/30/14)
The third annual Wanda Porter Dawson Toy Run supporting the Conway County Angel Tree will be held Sunday (11/30/14).  The group will depart from the former Cogswell Motors dealership at 2:30 p.m. and ride through Morrilton to the Multi-Purpose Building at the fairgrounds.  All bikes and cars are welcome.  Riders are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift for a boy or girl of any age.  Monetary donations will also be appreciated.

NAP APPLICATION CLOSING (12/1/14)
The 2015 Non-Insured Assistance Program application closing date for honey is Monday (12/1/14). Producers can contact the Conway/Faulkner/Perry County FSA office at 354-2000 for more information.

BUDGET COMMITTEE (12/1/14)
The Morrilton City Council Budget Committee will meet Monday (12/1/14) at 6:00 p.m. in the Wastewater Conference Room.

CHRISTMAS PARADE ENTRY DEADLINE (12/2/14)
Entry forms for Morrilton's annual downtown Christmas Parade are due by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday (12/2/14) at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce office.  The parade will be Thursday (12/4/14) at 5:00 p.m.

CHRISTMAS PARADE (12/4/14)
Morrilton's annual downtown Christmas Parade will be held Thursday (12/4/14) at 5:00 p.m.  There is no theme this year, but all entries must be lighted, and music is encouraged.

​MADRIGAL FEASTE (12/5/14)
The Morrilton High School Choirs will host the second annual "Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste" in the high school cafeteria on Saturday, December 13, at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the "Olde-Tyme" English Feaste and Performance are on sale now for $18. To purchase or for more information, visit www.sccsdchoirs.org. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday (12/5/14).

PANCAKE BREAKFAST (12/6/14)
The Morrilton Kiwanis Club will hold its annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Saturday (12/6/14) from 7:00 a.m.-noon at the Sacred Heart School cafeteria in Morrilton.  Advance tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.age 4-12.  Tickets are $1 more if bought at the door.  Carryouts are available by calling 208-1808.  Santa will be available for pictures with children from 8:00-11:30.

LIVING GIFT MARKET (12/13/14)
Heifer Ranch in Perryville will host a Living Gift Market on Saturday (12/13/14) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Sunday (12/14/14) from 3:00-6:00 p.m.  Admission is free.  Call 889-5124.
