MHS BASEBALL FUNDRAISER (2/8/16)
The Morrilton High School baseball team is holding a fundraiser at Colton's Steakhouse in Morrilton on Monday (2/8/16). A portion of all sales from 5:00-8:00 p.m. that night will go to the school to help meet the team's needs for the season.

The Arkansas River Valley Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society will meet Tuesday (2/9/16) at 7:00 p.m. at the Arkansas Tech Museum on the Tech campus in Russellville.
LUNCH AND LEARN (2/10/16)
The Conway County Library will host a Lunch and Learn on Wednesday (2/10/16) at noon as part of its year-long centennial celebration. February's theme decade is the 1920s and the presenters for the event will be Dr. Ken and Sherrie Sowers from Movie House Winery. They will discuss their business, the art of winemaking and how Prohibition affected and changed the lives of Americans. Light refreshments will be served.
VALENTINE BASKET GIVEAWAY (2/11/16)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary is holding a drawing for a Valentine gift basket on Thursday (2/11/16). Tickets are available from any Auxiliary member or at the hospital gift shop. Proceeds will be used for a new canopy at the main entrance of the hospital.
FAMILY GAME NIGHT (2/11/16)
The Conway County Library will host its monthly family game night on Thursday (2/11/16) at 6:30 p.m.
VALENTINE LUNCH (2/12/16)
The T.C. Vaughan Senior Adult Center in Morrilton is hosting a "Valentine Lunch" on Friday (2/12/16) at noon consisting of pork roast, mixed veggies, baby potatoes, rolls and cherry pie. The cost is a $5 donation at the door, or $6.50 for carryouts. Bingo will be played, starting at 12:45. Proceeds will support the center's Meals on Wheels program.
HIKES, HEARTS AND HUGS (2/12/16-2/14/16)
Petit Jean State Park will celebrate its annual Hikes, Hearts and Hugs weekend Friday (2/12/16) through Sunday (2/14/16). Park interpreters will offer hikes, programs and agendas of discovery throughout the weekend. The park is also offering a special Valentine's Evening Dinner Special on Saturday (2/13/16) with music provided by classical guitarist Smokey Emerson. For tickets or more information, call 727-5431.
JOB FAIR (2/13/16)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will be hosting a free job fair on Saturday (2/13/16) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Several businesses from the college's six-county service area will be on hand, and information sessions about UACCM's training programs will be offered. Olive Baptist Church in Plumerville invites the public to celebrate the three-year anniversary of Pastor Elijah Carpenter on Sunday (2/14/16) at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Arthur Warriors of Decatur, Alabama will deliver the message. The Morrilton volleyball program is holding a raffle for a Yeti drinkware set. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and can be purchased from Coach Patti Hill or any volleyball player. Proceeds will go towards the new Morrilton Arena weight room. The drawing will be held at the Senior Night basketball games on Friday (2/26/16).

The Petit Jean Razorback Club's annual spring rally featuring University of Arkansas Head Football Coach Bret Bielema will be held Monday (2/29/16) at the Sacred Heart Catholic School gymnasium in Morrilton. HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR (3/8/16)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton and the University of Central Arkansas are bringing a Holocaust survivor for three speaking appearances in the area. The survivor will be at the James H. Clark Auditorium at Conway High School on Monday (3/7/16) at 7:00 p.m., at the H.B. White Auditorium at Morrilton High School on Tuesday (3/8/16) at 9:45 a.m. and in the Fine Arts Auditorium at UACCM on Tuesday (3/8/16) at 6:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
