CRAFT FAIR AND BAKE SALE (12/2/16-12/3/16)
A craft fair and bake sale will be held at the Birdtown Community Building on Friday (12/2/16) and Saturday (12/3/16) from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. both days.

CHILI SUPPER (12/2/16)
Riverview Baptist Christian School near Oppelo will have a chili supper in the school cafeteria on Friday (12/2/16) from 4:30-7:00 p.m.  The menu will include chili, crackers, hot dogs, dessert and a drink, and carryouts will be available.  The cost is a donation to the school.

LIVE NATIVITY (12/2/16-12/4/16)
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 92 in Plumerville will host a live Nativity Friday (12/2/16) through Sunday (12/4/16) with the first journey starting at 6:00 each night.  There will be a hayride, children's activities and refreshments for everyone.

PERRY PARADE CANCELLED (12/3/16)
Due to the forecast for rain, Perry County has cancelled its "Christmas on the Square" and the annual Christmas Parade that were scheduled for Saturday (12/3/16).

COAT DRIVE (12/3/16)
The Conway County Care Center is partnering with the First United Methodist Church to sponsor a coat drive on Saturday (12/3/16) from 9:00 a.m.-noon at the Care Center in downtown Morrilton.  You're invited to shop for or donate new and used coats and enjoy coffee and donuts during that time. 

SELF DEFENSE CLASS (12/3/16)
The Morrilton High School Choir is hosting a self-defense class on Saturday (12/3/16) at 10:00 a.m. at Grand Master Hahn's Martial Arts center in Morrilton.  Registration is $20.  Anyone junior high age and up is welcome.  To sign up, call 501-472-4859.  Profits will go towards the Choir Universal Studios trip in March.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE (12/3/16)
The Max Milam Library in Perryville will host its annual Christmas Open House on Saturday (12/3/16) from 1:00-4:00 p.m.  Santa will be there for pictures, refreshments will be served, and live entertainment including The Bells, Corinth Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, First Baptist Children's Choir, Welcome Home Baptist Church, and Willy Nowell will be singing Christmas carols.

CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE (12/3/16)
Petit Jean State Park will host its annual Christmas Open House on Saturday (12/3/16) at 2:00 p.m. at Mather Lodge.  The Petit Jean Community Choir will sing Christmas carols in the lobby while Christmas crafts tables are set up in the adjacent CCC Room.  There will also be cookies, apple cider and hot chocolate, and Santa will be there at 3:00 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

The Morrilton American Legion Post 39 will host a chili supper and membership drive on Saturday (12/3/16) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Rialto Gallery in downtown Morrilton.  Meals are $7 each and include chili with all the trimmings, cornbread and cinnamon rolls.

CLEVELAND MASONIC LODGE (12/3/16)
The Cleveland Lodge of Free Masons will meet Saturday (12/3/16) at 7:00 p.m.

CHRISTMAS MOVIE (12/3/16)
The Rialto Theatre in downtown Morrilton will show the movie Home Alone on Saturday (12/3/16) at 7:00 p.m. on the big screen.  Admission is free, and refreshments and concessions will be available.

HOLIDAY FROM THE HEART (12/4/16)
 Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton will host its 6th Annual Holiday from the Heart, A Hometown Shopping Extravaganza on Sunday (12/4/16) from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium.  The event includes the chance to shop from local and home-based merchants, a silent auction, hot cocoa bar and bake sale.  There will also be a homemade chili and cinnamon roll lunch served in the cafeteria for $10.  Merchant space is still available.  Call Ashley at 454-0722.

CONWAY COUNTY BUDGET MEETING (12/5/16)
The Conway County Quorum Court's Budget and Finance Committee will meet Monday (12/5/16) at 5:30 p.m. at the courthouse in Morrilton.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT (12/6/16)
The Max Milam Library in Perryville will host Brian and Terri Kinder for a Christmas concert on Tuesday (12/6/16) at 7:00 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  For more information, call 889-2554.

AHTD PUBLIC MEETING (12/8/16)
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will hold a public involvement meeting in Morrilton to discuss the proposed plans to construct safety improvements on Highway 9 from Interstate 40 to Solgohachia.  The meeting will follow an open house format and will be held Thursday (12/8/16) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church.  The public is invited to visit any time during those hours to view displays, ask questions and offer comments.

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION (12/8/16)
A public hearing will be held Thursday (12/8/16) at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Meeting Room at Morrilton City Hall to change the Morrilton zoning code to allow a drug and rehab facility to be present in the B-1 zoning district.  A regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will follow the hearing.

DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE MEETING (12/8/16)
The Conway County Democratic Central Committee will meet Thursday (12/8/16) at 5:30 p.m. in the Wastewater Facilities Building in Morrilton.

RETIREMENT PARTY (12/9/16)
A retirement party for Conway County Tax Assessor Helen Noll will be held Friday (12/9/16) from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Rialto Community Arts Center in downtown Morrilton.  Everyone is welcome.

BOOK SIGNING (12/10/16)
Author Jim Warnock will be at Petit Jean State Park's Mather Lodge on Saturday (12/10/16) at 2:00 p.m. to present his trail guide, 5-Star Trails: The Ozarks, which includes a look at some of Petit Jean's five-star trails.  Books will be available for purchase and signing during the event.

MADRIGAL FEASTE (12/10/16-12/11/16)
The Morrilton High School Choir presents the fourth annual Ye Olde Madrigal Feaste at the MHS cafeteria on Saturday (12/10/16) at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday (12/11/16) at 1:00 p.m.  Tickets are $20 per person and are available online at www.sccsdchoir.org or by calling Tiffanie Manes at 719-966-7464.  Profits will go towards the Choir Universal Studios trip in March.

FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS (12/12/16)
Morrilton First United Methodist Church will present A Festival of Lessons and Carols Candlelight Service on Monday (12/12/16) at 7:00 p.m. at the church on South Chestnut.  Admission is free and a nursery will be provided.

MORRILTON MASONIC LODGE (12/13/16)
The Morrilton Lodge of Free Masons will meet Tuesday (12/13/16) at 7:00 p.m.

PLUMERVILLE MASONIC LODGE (12/15/16)
The Plumerville Lodge of Free Masons will meet Thursday (12/15/16) at 7:00 p.m.

CENTER RIDGE MASONIC LODGE (12/17/16)
The Center Ridge Lodge of Free Masons will meet Saturday (12/17/16) at 7:00 p.m.

CHRISTMAS MOVIE (12/17/16)
The Rialto Theatre in downtown Morrilton will show the movie The Polar Express on Saturday (12/17/16) at 7:00 p.m. on the big screen.  Admission is free, and refreshments and concessions will be available.​

CHURCH REVIVAL (12/17/16)
"Undefeated" is the theme of a one-night revival to be held Saturday (12/17/16) at 7:00 p.m. at Anointed Praise and Worship Ministries on Tyler Street in Conway.

CHRISTMAS DRAWING (12/22/16)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital Auxiliary is holding a drawing for a Christmas-themed gift basket on Thursday (12/22/16).  Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available from Auxiliary members, the hospital gift shop or front lobby desk.
