BENEFIT CONCERT (1/21/17)
A benefit blues concert for former Morrilton High School basketball coach John Widner will be held Saturday (1/21/17), starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Morrilton Junior High gym. The concert will feature Morrilton's own Akeem Kemp Band. Admission is $5 at the door.
RIALTO CONCERT (1/21/17)
The Rialto Theatre in downtown Morrilton will present a concert featuring Lulu Roman of Hee Haw fame and Branson/Nashville entertainer Donnie Lee Strickland of Perryville on Saturday (1/21/17) at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION COURSES (1/23/17)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will offer non-credit courses on Introduction to Welding, Medical Terminology, and Creative Activities for Early Childhood beginning Monday (1/23/17) and Child Care Orientation Training beginning Tuesday (1/24/17). WASTEWATER UTILITY COMMISSION (1/23/17)
The Morrilton Wastewater Utility Commission will meet Monday (1/23/17) at 5:00 p.m. in the Wastewater Meeting Building on Chestnut Street.
WEATHER SPOTTER CLASS (1/23/17)
The Perry County Office of Emergency Management is hosting a weather spotter class on Monday (1/23/17) at 7:00 p.m. at the Diane Wilson Senior Adult Center in Perryville. The class will be taught by Dennis Cavanaugh, warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service. The class is free and everyone is welcome.
AUDUBON SOCIETY (1/23/17)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (1/23/17) at 7:00 p.m. in Room 110 of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Life Sciences at Hendrix College in Conway. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend.
PESTICIDE APPLICATOR TRAINING (1/24/17)
The Conway County Extension Service will hold a private pesticide applicator training on Tuesday (1/24/17) at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. The Perry County Justices of the Peace will have a committee meeting Wednesday (1/25/17) at 9:30 a.m. at the Perry County Courthouse in Perryville.
RIBBON CUTTING (1/26/17)
The Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for Liberty Tax on Davis Drive in Morrilton on Thursday (1/26/17) at 11:00 a.m.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION COURSE (1/28/17)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will offer a free non-credit course on Preventing Child Abuse & Neglect on Saturday, January 28th, and February 4th from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. both days. Registration can be completed online at www.uaccm.edu/workforce.
BLOOD DRIVE (1/30/17)
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Monday (1/30/17) from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Wonderview High School.

The annual meeting of the Conway County Oak Grove Cemetery will be held Tuesday (1/31/17) at 7:00 p.m. at Bald Knob Missionary Baptist Church on Highway 287 near Plumerville.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will offer a non-credit course on Multi-Craft Training for Industrial Mechanics beginning Saturday (2/4/17), Advanced Cardiac Life Support on Sunday (2/5/17) and Microsoft Word Basics beginning Monday (2/6/17). VALENTINE BASKET DRAWING (2/10/17)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital Auxiliary is holding a drawing for a Valentine gift basket on Friday (2/10/17). Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available from Auxiliary members, hospital gift shop or front desk. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a canopy for the main entrance of the hospital.
