LIBRARY CLOSED (9/1/15)
The Max Milam Library in Perryville will remain closed through Tuesday (9/1/15) to complete the final phase of a $1.3 million renovation and expansion. The library plans to reopen with full services on Wednesday (9/2/15).

ABATE 17 MEETING (9/1/15)
ABATE 17 will meet Tuesday (9/1/15) at 6:00 p.m. at Smitty's Bar-B-Que in Conway.  All riders and motorcycle enthusiasts are invited.

SENIOR CITIZEN POTLUCK (9/2/15)
The Plumerville area senior citizen monthly potluck luncheon will be held Wednesday (9/2/15) in the Bill Plummer Senior Center.  All area senior citizens are invited to attend and participate.

DAV MEETING (9/3/15)
Chapter 13 of the Disabled American Veterans will meet Thursday (9/3/15) at 10:00 a.m. at Brookridge Cove Nursing Center in Morrilton.

PLUMERVILLE MASONIC LODGE (9/4/15)
The Plumerville Lodge of Free Masons will meet Friday (9/4/15) at 7:00 p.m.

CHURCH HOMECOMING (9/5/15)
Homecoming services at Spring Valley Missionary Baptist Church will be held Saturday (9/5/15) at 6:00 p.m. with a musical ceremony featuring the Jubilars of Marche, the New Dora Male Chorus of North Little Rock and Delivered of Conway.  The program will climax on Sunday (9/6/15) with Sunday School beginning at 8:00 a.m. and worship hour at 9:30.  The Fleming Choir will sing and the guest speaker will be Reverend Tremayne Harris, pastor of New Generation Church in Conway.

CHURCH CONCERT (9/5/15)
Pastor Eddie Joe Reed of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri will be in concert at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville on Saturday (9/5/15) at 7:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome.

CLEVELAND MASONIC LODGE (9/5/15)
The Cleveland Lodge of Free Masons will meet Saturday (9/5/15) at 7:00 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AWARD (9/6/15)
Billy Farrell Deaver will receive a bar pin for 54 years of perfect Sunday School attendance at Portland Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville on Sunday (9/6/15) in the 11:45 morning worship service.  All family and friends are invited to share in the special occasion.

CHURCH HOMECOMING (9/6/15)
The Mallettown United Methodist Church will celebrate its annual Homecoming on Sunday (9/6/15). Services begin with morning worship service at 11:00, followed by a potluck dinner and an afternoon of Gospel music.

CAR SHOW (9/6/15)

The Conway County Courthouse will be closed Monday (9/7/15) in observance of Labor Day.

The Morrilton Lodge of Free Masons will meet Tuesday (9/8/15) at 7:00 p.m.

CONWAY COUNTY FAIR (9/8/15-9/12/15)
The Conway County Fair will take place Tuesday (9/8/15) through Saturday (9/12/15) at the fairgrounds in Morrilton.  The midway will be open Wednesday through Saturday, starting at 5:00 each night.  For more information, visit www.conwaycountyfair.com.

EARLY VOTING (9/8/15)
Early voting for the annual school election will be held Tuesday (9/8/15) through Monday (9/14/15) from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Conway County Clerk's Office at the courthouse in Morrilton.

INTERGOVERNMENTAL COUNCIL (9/9/15)
The Conway County Intergovernmental Council will meet Wednesday (9/9/15) at 9:00 a.m. in the first floor conference room of the courthouse in Morrilton to discuss personnel matters and the fall clean-up.

FAIR PARADE (9/9/15)
The 2015 Conway County Fair Parade will take place Wednesday (9/9/15) starting at 5:00 p.m. from the Green Bay Packaging's Fiber Resource parking lot and proceeding through downtown Morrilton.

BLOOD DRIVE (9/10/15)
CHI St. Vincent Morrilton will host a blood drive on Thursday (9/10/15) from 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Hickey Building.  All donors will receive a Go Hog Wild t-shirt.

UACCM TRIP MEETING (9/10/15-9/11/15)
Instructors will hold three brief meetings to answer questions about UACCM's trip next May to Scotland and Ireland.  The meetings will be Thursday (9/10/15) at 12:15 and 6:30 p.m. and Friday (9/11/15) at 11:00 a.m. in Room 121 in the Kirk Building on the UACCM campus.  The trip runs from May 24-June 2, 2016.  Anyone wanting information about the trip is encouraged to attend one of the meetings.

ST. ELIZABETH BAZAAR (9/13/15)
St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Oppelo will hold its annual bazaar on Sunday (9/13/15) from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  An all-you-can-eat spaghetti and sausage meal will be served from 11:00-2:00.  Meals are $13 for adults, $6 for ages 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under.  There will also be games and activities for all ages, including a silent auction, and a cash raffle with a $500 top prize.

BLOOD DRIVE (9/14/15)
The Morrilton Knights of Columbus will hold an American Red Cross blood drive on Monday (9/14/15) from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Conway County Community Center in Morrilton.

TEA PARTY MEETING (9/14/15)
The Tri-County Tea Party meeting will be held Monday (9/14/15) at 7:00 p.m. in the Quorum Court room at the Pope County Courthouse in Russellville.

SCHOOL ELECTION (9/15/15)
The annual school election will be held Tuesday (9/15/15) from 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.  Polls will be open in the South Conway County School District at the Overcup Fire Department, Morrilton Primary School, Morrilton Christian Center, Oppelo City Hall, the Plumerville Community Room, and the Morrilton Fire Department.  Polls will not be open in the Nemo Vista or Wonderview School Districts because there are no contested races in those districts.

FARM BUREAU MEETING (9/15/15)
Conway County Farm Bureau will hold its annual meeting and dinner on Tuesday (9/15/15) at the Sacred Heart School cafeteria in Morrilton.  Dinner will be served from 6:00-7:30 p.m. with a short business session to follow.  The dinner is free to all Farm Bureau members in the household.  There can be no guests, and no carryouts will be allowed.  Members must bring invitation card for entrance and drawing.

SOLGOHACHIA MASONIC LODGE (9/17/15)
The Solgohachia Lodge of Free Masons will meet Thursday (9/17/15) at 7:00 p.m.

PLUMERVILLE MASONIC LODGE (9/18/15)
The Plumerville Lodge of Free Masons will meet Friday (9/18/15) at 7:00 p.m.

CENTER RIDGE MASONIC LODGE (9/19/15)
The Center Ridge Lodge of Free Masons will meet Saturday (9/19/15) at 7:00 p.m.

RACE TO THE FUTURE (9/22/15)
The South Conway County Public School Foundation's annual "Race to the Future" fundraising dinner will take place Tuesday (9/22/15) at 6:30 p.m. in the Morrilton High School cafeteria.  Tickets are $25 each.  Visit www.sccpsf.org for more information.
