SACRED HEART PRE-REGISTRATION (THRU 4/1/17)
Pre-registration for pre-K through 12th grade at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton is now open.  For K-12, the pre-registration fee is $50.  Pre-registration for pre-K is $30.  Call Amanda Lunsford at 354-4944. 

SEW DAY (3/25/17)
A sew day for a patriotic mystery quilt project for the Quilts of Valor will take place Saturday (3/25/17) at The Fabric Patch and More in downtown Morrilton.  For more information, call 289-6512.

SEVERE WX PREPAREDNESS DAY (3/25/17)
Conway County Emergency Services will be conducting a Severe Weather Preparedness Day on Saturday (3/25/17) beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Kroger parking lot in Morrilton.  Kroger will be selling NOAA weather radios that can be programmed on site.  Local fire, police and EMS agencies will also be on hand to show their equipment.

HEALTH FAIR (3/25/17)
St. Paul AME Church in Morrilton is hosting its annual community health fair on Saturday (3/25/17) from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  There will be free health screenings, assessments, educational materials and more.  Everyone is welcome.

MUNCHIN ON MAIN (3/25/17)
Main Street Morrilton presents the first-ever Munchin' on Main Street festival in downtown Morrilton on Saturday (3/25/17) from 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.  Six food trucks competing for the title of Morrilton's "Favorite Food Truck" will be set up at the corner of Moose Street and Railroad Avenue.  There will also be a city market with over 20 local vendors showcasing their products and services, a bounce house and other activities for children throughout the day, and live music from 5:00-8:00 p.m. headlined by Conway County's own Matt Stell.

BLOOD DRIVE (3/25/17)
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive on Saturday (3/25/17) from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Walmart in Morrilton.

RUN FOR THE FALLEN (3/25/17)
The 6th annual "Arkansas Run for the Fallen" will take place Saturday (3/25/17).  It will pass through downtown Morrilton from 2:50-3:20 p.m.  Honors will be held at the highway department office on Hwy 64 at 2:50, the west fire department at 3:00, the Conway County Library at 3:10 and the east fire department at 3:20.  There will also be a large flag line in front of the Rialto Theatre with staging at 2:00.  Everyone is encouraged to join.  Flags will be provided.  For more information, call Jerry Ashby at 940-7124.

SOUP SUPPER AND AUCTION (3/25/17)
The Petit Jean Mountain Cemetery Association will host a soup supper and auction on Saturday (3/25/17) at the Petit Jean First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  The supper starts at 5:00 p.m., and costs $7 for adults and $5 for children 9 and under.  The auction for pies and cakes will start at 6:30 p.m.  All proceeds will be used to help build a fence around the cemetery.

GOSPEL MEETING (3/26/17-3/29/17)
The Plumerville Church of Christ will hold its spring Gospel Meeting Sunday (3/26/17) through Wednesday (3/29/17).  A Sunday morning service will be held at 9:30 a.m. with a potluck at noon.  Services will continue at 7:00 each night.  The speaker is Randy Rankin of Searcy.  The theme is "Focusing on Evangelistic Sermons."  Everyone is welcome.

GOSPEL MEETING (3/26/17-3/30/17)
The Center Ridge Church of Christ is holding a Gospel Meeting Sunday (3/26/17) through Thursday (3/30/17) at 7:00 each night.  Scheduled speakers are Keith Moore on Sunday, Tommie Boles on Monday and Tuesday, and Carroll Sites on Wednesday and Thursday.  Everyone is welcome.

HOSPITAL BOARD (3/27/17)
The Conway County Hospital Board of Governors will meet Monday (3/27/17) at noon in the community room of the Hickey Outpatient Clinic Building at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton.

QUORUM COURT (3/27/17)
The Conway County Quorum Court will meet Monday (3/27/17) at 6:00 p.m. at the courthouse in Morrilton.  A joint meeting of the Budget & Finance and Personnel & Governmental Committees will be held prior to the meeting at 5:00.

AUDUBON CLUB (3/27/17)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (3/27/17) at 7:00 p.m. in the Stables Classroom at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain.  The program on parasites will be presented by Dr. Wilbur Owen, retired professor of Biology at the University of Central Arkansas.

SH STUDENT VISIT DAY (3/28/17)
Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton will host Student Visit Day on March 30th for students entering grades K-12 who are considering or have enrolled as new students for Fall 2017.  Registration forms are available in the school office and online at www.sacredheartmorrilton.org and are due by Tuesday (3/28/17).

MUTT STRUTT (3/31/17)
Main Street Morrilton and Junior Main Street are sponsoring the first Main Street Mutt Strutt, a one-mile wag-n-walk event on Saturday, April 8th, at 10:00 a.m. at the downtown pocket park in Morrilton.  Pre-registration is $25 per pet by Friday (3/31/17).  Registration is $30 after Friday through the day of the race.  Additional contest categories are also available for $5 each.  Proceeds will benefit the Jr. Main Street Scholarship Fund and KC Pet Rescue.  To register, visit www.mailstreetmorrilton.org.

LIHEAP CLOSING (3/31/17)
ARVAC's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program will close at the end of the day on Friday (3/31/17).  For more information in Conway County, call 354-5344.  In Perry County, call 889-2407.

JEWELRY SALE (3/31/17)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital Auxiliary will hold a Gold Rush jewelry and handbag sale on Friday (3/31/17) from 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the employee dining room.

FISH FRY (3/31/17)
The First Baptist Church on Highway 92 in Center Ridge will hold a fish fry fundraiser on Friday (3/31/17) from 5:00-7:30 p.m.  All proceeds will be used to help send kids to church camp and to fund a summer mission trip to Utah.

CLEVELAND MASONIC LODGE (4/1/17)
The Cleveland Lodge of Free Masons will meet Saturday (4/1/17) at 7:00 p.m.

BROADWAY AND BEYOND (4/1/17-4/9/17)
The Rialto Theatre in downtown will present a show featuring Broadway hits and more on Saturday (4/1/17) at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday (4/2/17) at 2:00 p.m. and again April 8th and 7:00 p.m. and April 9th at 2:00 p.m.  Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.rialtomorrilton.com.

EMPOWERED TO CONNECT CONFERENCE (4/5/17)
The CALL in Faulkner and Conway Counties and The CALL in Van Buren County are sponsoring an Empowered to Connect Conference on April 7th and 8th in Conway.  The conference is designed for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care, and those who are serving and supporting others.  The conference is free to anyone registered by Wednesday (4/5/17).  To register, email yyuvone.heidelberger@thecallinarkansas.org.
