CLOTHING CLOSET (TFN)
First Baptist Church in Center Ridge is holding a clothing closet every Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  The church is now accepting winter clothes donations for the closet.  For more information, call 242-1373.

ADULT EDUCATION (TFN)
The Adult Education Center at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton offers free classes to prepare adults in Conway and Perry Counties to earn a GED.  ESL classes are also offered free of charge for anyone at least 18 years of age.  For more information, call 215-4904.

NUT SALE (10/31/14)
The Conway County Conservation District is now taking orders for various types of nuts, including pecans, cashews, peanuts and almonds.  Payment must be made when the order is placed.  To order, call 354-2000 Ext. 3.

UPWARD REGISTRATION (10/31/14)
Registration for Upward basketball and cheerleading continues through Friday (10/31/14).  Forms can be picked up at the Conway County Community Center and forms and payment must be turned in at C-4.  The late registration period, which includes a late fee, will run from November 1-15.  For more information, call Fina or Cindy at 354-4122.

BLOOD DRIVE (10/31/14)
The American Red Cross will have a blood drive Friday (10/31/14) from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Wonderview High School.

MONSTERS ON MAIN STREET (10/31/14)
Main Street Morrilton will host its annual Monsters on Main Street from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday (10/31/14) in downtown Morrilton.  Candy and treats will be available to trick-or-treaters at participating merchants.  There will also be a fortune teller, dance performance, face painting and other activities.  A costume contest will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre.  All activities are free, but concessions will be available for purchase.

PJSP HALLOWEEN (10/31/14)
Petit Jean State Park will host a Halloween event, "Owls in Flight on Fright Night," on Friday (10/31/14) in the Rec Hall.  Activities, including face painting, an owl craft, games, popcorn and candy, will begin at 6:00 p.m.  A "Best Owl Sounds" contest and a costume contest will start at 7:00 with an owl prowl to follow at 7:30.  Events on Saturday (11/1/14) include a hike at 9:00 a.m., Nature Bingo at 11:00, a live birds of prey show at 1:00 p.m. and a hike at 6:30.  All activities are free and everyone is welcome.

TRUCK OR TREAT (10/31/14)
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in the Hillcreek Community north of Plumerville will hold a Truck or Treat event with games and food for kids on Friday (10/31/14) from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome.

CHURCH REVIVAL (10/31/14)
Revival services at Mercy United Pentecostal Church in Springfield continue at 7:30 each night through Friday (10/31/14). Everyone is welcome.

ANCESTOR FAIR (11/1/14)
The 2014 Conway County Genealogical Society Ancestor Fair will take place Saturday (11/1/14) from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Depot Museum in downtown Morrilton.  The theme is "Who's Your Great-Grand Daddy," and researchers will be on hand to help you find your ancestors.  For more information, contact Emery Francis at efrancis@flash.net.

VETERANS PARADE (11/1/14)
The eighth annual Veterans Parade in downtown Plumerville will be held Saturday (11/1/14) beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Entertainment and activities in the park will start at noon.  Food will also be available.  For more information on parade entries or setting up a booth, call 208-3467.

CHURCH SINGING (11/1/14)
Miracle Lighthouse in Morrilton will hold its monthly open singing on Saturday (11/1/14) at 6:30 p.m.  Refreshments will be served afterward and everyone is welcome.

HAUNTED HOUSE (11/1/14)
The annual Hubbard Family Haunted House is open from 7:00-11:00 p.m. each night through Saturday (11/1/14) in the former Parlor Restaurant next to the old Morrilton Bank building in downtown Morrilton. Proceeds will be used to help with medical expenses for Jimmy Harris.

CHURCH REVIVAL (11/2/14-11/5/14)
Portland Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville will hold revival services Sunday (11/2/14) through Wednesday (11/5/14) with evangelist John Griswood, pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Powderly, Texas.  Services will start with Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. followed by revival service at 10:45.  Sunday evening service will be at 5:00 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday will start at 7:00 p.m.

CENTURY LEAGUE 5K (11/3/14)
The GFWC Century League of Morrilton will host its second annual 5K run/walk fundraiser on Saturday, November 15, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.  The entry fee is $25 if pre-registered by Monday (11/3/14) or $30 after that date.  You can register online at www.racesonline.com or by contacting any Century League member.

UACCM PAGEANT (11/3/14)
Monday (11/3/14) is the final deadline to register for the eighth annual UACCM Pageant to be held Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium.  Registration is $40 and there are categories for girls from birth to age 17, in addition to current UACCM students.  For applications, visit www.uaccm.edu.

CHAMBER BANQUET (11/3/14)
The Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet and awards ceremony on Monday (11/3/14) at 6:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart School gymnasium.  Tickets are $30.  To purchase or for more information, call the Chamber office at 354-2393.

JEWELRY SALE (11/4/14)
The St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary is sponsoring a Gold Rush Jewelry sale on Tuesday (11/4/14) from 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the employee dining room of St. Vincent Morrilton.

BOARD OF VISITORS (11/4/14)
The UACCM Board of Visitors will meet Tuesday (11/4/14) at noon in the small dining room of The Plaza.

FOOD BOX APPLICATIONS (11/6/14)
The Salvation Army will be taking applications for food boxes on Thursday (11/6/14) from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Morrilton Housing Authority.  Applicants must bring photo ID for the head of household, a utility bill for proof of residency, and proof of income.   To be eligible, you must apply in person and be a resident of Conway County.

PIE AUCTION (11/6/14)
The Morrilton High School Basketball Booster Club will have a pie auction during the Maroon/Gray games on Thursday (11/6/14).  Auction times will be approximately 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.

PEE-WEE BBALL TOURNEY (11/7/14)
The Morrilton Basketball Booster Club will host a pee-wee basketball tourney on Friday (11/7/14) and Saturday (11/8/14) for girls' and boys' teams in grades 3-6.  Registration is $100 per team.  Contact Randy Raper at 208-1754 for more information.

CHILI SUPPER (11/7/14)
The Nemo Vista Alumni Committee will host a chili supper on Friday (11/7/14) starting at 4:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  The cost is $6.  All proceeds benefit the Nemo Vista Alumni Scholarships.

YARD SALE (11/8/14)
The Wonderview Special Olympics athletes will have a yard sale Saturday (11/8/14) from 7:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Wonderview School cafeteria.  All clothing items will be a donation.  All non-clothing items will be priced to sell.

PASTOR APPRECIATION SERVICE (11/9/14)
Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church in Menifee will host its Pastor and Family Appreciation Service in conjunction with its regular worship service on Sunday (11/9/14).  Everyone is welcome.
