The Morrilton Municipal Airport Commission will meet Monday (5/4/15) at 5:15 p.m. at the airport.​

TEA PARTY MEETING (5/4/15)
The Tri-County Tea Party meeting will be held Monday (5/4/15) at 7:00 p.m. at the Arkansas River Valley Regional Library in Dardanelle.  Guest speakers will be Representative Mary Bentley and Senator Gary Stubblefield.

RAILROAD PROGRAM (5/4/15)
As a continuing part of the recognition of the Morrilton Depot's 100th year, Al Rueker from the Faulkner County Museum in Conway, will speak at the Morrilton Depot Museum at 7:00 p.m. Monday (5/4/15).

ABATE 17 MEETING (5/5/15)
ABATE 17 will meet Tuesday (5/5/15) at 6:00 p.m. at Smitty's Bar-B-Que in Conway.  All riders and motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome.

SENIOR CITIZEN POTLUCK (5/6/15)
The Plumerville area senior citizen monthly potluck luncheon will be held Wednesday (5/6/15) at the W.C. Plummer Senior Center.  The group will meet at 11:30 a.m. and the meal will begin at noon.  All area senior citizens are invited.

YARD SALE (5/7/15-5/8/15)
St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Oppelo is having a yard sale Thursday (5/7/15) and Friday (5/8/15) from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. each day.

DAV MEETING (5/7/15)
Chapter 13 of the Disabled American Veterans will meet Thursday (5/7/15) at 10:00 a.m. at Brookridge Cove Nursing Center.

UACCM GRADUATION (5/9/15)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will hold its spring commencement on Saturday (5/9/15) at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the H.B. White Auditorium at Morrilton High School.

FAULKNER COUNTY NRA (5/9/15)
Faulkner County Friends of the NRA will hold its annual fundraising banquet on Saturday (5/9/15) at 5:30 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Conway.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Chuck Gaines at 501-581-8762.

PICKIN IN THE PARK (5/9/15)
The Arts Council of Conway County will host Pickin' in the Park beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday (5/9/15).  Everyone is welcome to bring a guitar and join in the pickin'.  There will also be activities for kids, and food will be available for purchase.

ACREAGE REPORTING DEADLINE (5/10/15)
Sunday (5/10/15) is the final day for producers to file prevented planted acreage/credit for corn through the Farm Service Agency.  All producers are encouraged to visit the Conway/Faulkner/Perry County FSA office in Morrilton prior to the deadline to file a report.

WOMEN'S DAY SERVICE (5/10/15)
Zion Temple CME Church in Menifee will observe Women's Day during its 11:00 a.m. service on Sunday (5/10/15).  The theme is "Christian Women: Lights in an Ever Darkening World."  The morning message will be brought by Wilma Kelley McKindra of Reed Memorial CME Church in Little Rock.  Guest soloist will be Carolyn Duncan of Mt. Hebrew CME Church.

RETIREMENT RECEPTION (5/12/15)
Sacred Heart Catholic School will host a retirement reception for principal Brian Bailey on Tuesday (5/12/15) from 3:30-6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.  All current and past students, parents, coworkers and friends are invited.

Morrilton Masonic Lodge will meet Tuesday (5/12) night at seven at the lodge hall on Bridge Street in Morrilton.

BARBEQUE SALE (5/13/15)
Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton is selling whole slow-smoked Boston butts and smoked pork ribs - just in time for your Memorial Day barbeque.  Orders are due Wednesday (5/13/15) and may be picked up on May 21st at Petit Jean Meats.  Order forms are in the school office and online at www.sacredheartmorrilton.org. 

LANDOWNERS WORKSHOP (5/14/15)
The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain is hosting a business workshop for landowners on Thursday (5/14/15).  The workshop is being held as a partnership between Mississippi State University, the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture and the Institute.  It will provide an opportunity for landowners and farmers to seek new and innovative ways to earn extra money.  Registration is $30 per person of $50 per couple.  Visit www.rockefellerinstitute.org/land.

BLOOD DRIVE (5/19/15)
First Electric Cooperative will host a blood drive at its Perryville office on Tuesday (5/19/15).  The American Red Cross will collect donations from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code FirstElectric.

MEMORIAL DAY DRAWING (5/21/15)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary is sponsoring a drawing for a cooler filled with outdoor supplies and a hot dog cooker to raise funds to purchase a canopy for the front entrance of the hospital.  The drawing will be held Thursday (5/21/15).  Tickets are available at the hospital front desk or gift shop or from any Auxiliary member.

5K COLOR RUN (5/23/15)
The boys' basketball teams at Perryville High School will be holding a 5K Color Run on Saturday (5/23/15) to raise funds to purchase new uniforms.  The race will start and end at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Perryville.  Check-in is at 7:00 a.m. and the race will start at 8:00.  For more information, call the school at 889-2326.

DEVIL DOG REUNION BRUNCH (5/29/15)
Morrilton High School's 15th annual Reunion Brunch for all alumni who have been out of school at least 50 years will be held Saturday, June 6th.  The cost is $15 per person and the reservation deadline is Friday (5/29/15).  Call Bea Thompson at 354-4003 or Anita Huett at 354-4321.
