​SUMMER DAY CAMP (THRU 7/5/17)
Petit Jean State Park will host Summer Day Camp for children age 8-12 July 5-7. Planned activities include hikes, horseback riding, a visit to a petting zoo, kayaking, nature games, discovery of wildlife and swimming. The cost is $80 and space is limited so early registration is requested. You can sign up at the park visitor center or by calling 727-5441.

GOSPEL SINGING (6/29/17)
Mountain View Baptist Church on Woolverton Mountain will host its 5th Thursday Night Gospel Singing on Thursday (6/29/17) at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome. There will not be a potluck following this singing.

FARM DAMAGE ASSISTANCE (6/30/17)
Farmers in Conway, Perry and Faulkner Counties who suffered at least $1,000 in property damage from recent flooding have until Friday (6/30/17) to sign up for emergency conservation funding through the Farm Service Agency. For more information, drop by the office on Shady Lane in Morrilton or call 354-2000 ext. 2.

COURTHOUSE CLOSED (7/4/17)
The Conway County Courthouse and other governmental offices will be closed Tuesday (7/4/17) for Independence Day.

LANDFILL CLOSED (7/4/17)
The Morrilton Landfill will be closed Tuesday (7/4/17) for Independence Day and Waste Management will not run its scheduled route that day in the City of Morrilton. Trash collection will be one day behind the remainder of the week.

QUILT PRESENTATION (7/4/17)
The Conway County Piecemakers will present quilts to veterans on Tuesday (7/4/17) at 9:00 a.m. at the new John Hargis Building at the Arch Ford Co-Op in Plumerville. Everyone is welcome to attend.

FABULOUS FOURTH (7/4/17)
The 19th annual Fabulous Fourth celebration at Cherokee Park in Morrilton will take place Tuesday (7/4/17). Activities begin at 5:00 p.m. and include live music; a watermelon eating contest; a contest for the best apple pie; games for children; Petit Jean hot dogs; snow cones; iced tea; lemonade; a car show; drag racing car; bounce house; water slide; video games; and an obstacle course. The area's largest fireworks show will start at 9:15. All food and activities are free.

SCHOOL ELECTION FILING (7/5/17)
Candidates can file petitions of candidacy for the annual school election with the County Clerk's Office beginning Wednesday (7/5/17) at noon. The deadline to file is July 11th at noon.

BLOOD DRIVE (7/5/17)
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Wednesday (7/5/17) from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Walmart in Morrilton.

STARLIGHT CINEMA (7/6/17-7/7/17)
The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will offer a free showing of the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows at its Starlight Cinema event on Thursday (7/6/17) at the City of Morrilton Nature Trail and Friday (7/7/17) at Perryville City Park. The movie will start at sundown both nights.

KIDS CRUSADE (7/9/17-7/12/17)
Family Life Worship Center on Highway 9 in Morrilton will have a Kids' Crusade on Sunday (7/9/17) through Wednesday (7/12/17) at 6:00 each night with Thomas and Angela Carpenter and their special guests. There will also be games and prizes. All children and their parents are welcome.

GIRLS ADVENTURE CAMP (7/11/17)
Woolly Hollow State Park at Greenbrier will host an adventure day camp for girls age 7-11 July 11-13. Activities include hiking, camping, kayaking, crafting, nature programming and more. Advance registration is required. Call 501-679-2098.

FOSTER PARENT MEETING (7/17/17)
The CALL in Conway and Faulkner County will host an informational meeting for prospective foster and adoptive parents and volunteers on Monday (7/17/17) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at New Life Church in Conway.
