CLOTHING CLOSET (TFN)
First Baptist Church in Center Ridge is holding a clothing closet every Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  The church is now accepting winter clothes donations for the closet.  For more information, call 242-1373.

UACCM PAGEANT (TFN)
The 8th annual UACCM Pageant presented by Phi Beta Lambda will be held Saturday, November 8, from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium.  In addition to UACCM students, there are categories for girls from birth to age 17.  Registration fee is $30 before October 27th or $40 after that date.  The final deadline is November 3rd.  For applications, visit www.uaccm.edu.

NEMO VISTA SCHOOL BOARD (10/20/14)
The Nemo Vista School District will hold its annual public meeting in conjunction with the regular board meeting on Monday (10/20/14) at 6:30 p.m. in the administration board room.

PERRY 4-H BANQUET (10/20/14)
Perry County 4-H will hold its annual achievement and awards banquet Monday (10/20/14) at 7:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Perryville.  For more information or to RSVP, call the Extension Office at 889-2661.

The Perry County Area Chamber of Commerce will meet Tuesday (10/21/14) at noon at First Electric in Perryville.

4-H BANQUET (10/21/14)
Conway County 4-H will hold its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:00 p.m. at the Downtown Church of Christ Family Life Center in Morrilton.  Attendees are asked to RSVP to 354-9618 by Tuesday (10/21/14).

YOUTH BASKETBALL SIGNUP (10/22/14)
Registration for the Morrilton Parks and Recreation's youth basketball program for boys and girls in grades 3-6 continues through Wednesday (10/22/14).  You can register at the Parks and Recreation office at the City Ball Park Complex weekdays from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m.  Registration is $40 for first child, $35 for second child and $30 for third or more children in the same family.  For more information, call Larry Tarrant at 354-4727 or 208-6675.

OPEN HOUSE/CHILI COOKOFF (10/22/14)
Brookridge Cove will have an open house and chili cookoff on Wednesday (10/22/14) from 10:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited for all-you-can-eat chili and to welcome new administrator Bobbi Helton.  There will also be a drawing for a $50 gift card.

GOSPEL MEETING (10/22/14)
The annual fall area-wide Gospel Meeting of the Conway County Churches of Christ continues through Wednesday (10/22/14) at the Downtown Church of Christ in Morrilton. The theme is "The Heart of the Gospel" with a different speaker each night. Services begin at 7:00 each night with refreshments and fellowship to follow.

RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (10/23/14)
The Conway County Retired Teachers Association will meet Thursday (10/23/14) at 10:00 a.m. at the Harding Street Church of Christ Annex.  All retired school personnel are invited.  Members are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Conway County Care Center.

SPAGHETTI DINNER (10/23/14)
Morrilton Elementary School will hold a take-out spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Thursday (10/23/14).  Meals are $6 if ordered by Monday (10/20/13) or $8 if purchased Thursday.  To pre-order, call 354-9443.  Meals will be available for pick-up at the front door of MES from 4:30-7:00 p.m.

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION (10/23/14)
The Morrilton Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Thursday (10/23/14) at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Meeting Room.

SPRINGFIELD MASONIC LODGE (10/23/14)
The Springfield Lodge of Free Masons will meet Thursday (10/23/14) at 7:00 p.m.

COMMODITIES ISSUED (10/24/14)
ARVAC will issue commodities for eligible households in Conway County on Friday (10/24/14) from 8:00 a.m.-noon at the National Guard Armory in Morrilton.  Applicants will need to bring total household income, number in household and Social Security card.

​ABUNDANT LIFE BANQUET (10/24/14)
The Abundant Life Pregnancy Resource Center in Morrilton will hold its annual Celebrate Life fundraising banquet on Friday (10/24/14) from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Morrilton. There is no charge for individual tickets, but table sponsorships are available at various levels. To become a sponsor or to RSVP, call 354-4141.

FLY-IN (10/25/14)
The Morrilton Municipal Airport will host its annual fly-in on Saturday (10/25/14) from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served and the C.C. Kruzzers will hold a car show with the event.  In addition, all planes that fly in that day will receive a discount of ten cents a gallon on fuel.  Admission is free to the public.

HARVEST OF HOPE (10/25/14)
The Conway County Care Center's annual Harvest of Hope food drive culminates with its "Fill the Truck" drive on Saturday (10/25/14).  Individuals are asked to help fill a truck located in the Kroger parking lot with non-perishable food items.  The seventh annual Harvest of Hope Gospel Singing will follow from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre in downtown Morrilton.  The cost to attend is $5 or five cans of food for adults and $3 or three cans of food for children.  Entertainment will be provided by local church choirs, individuals and youth groups.

FALL FREEDOM FESTIVAL (10/25/14)
A Fall Freedom Festival hosted by The Harbor on Ranchette Road in Conway will take place Saturday (10/25/14) from 3:00-7:00 p.m.  The event includes hay rides, face painting, bounce houses, a chili cookoff and entertainment by Gospel Outlaws Christian Rock Band.

LONOKE CHURCH FALL FEST (10/26/14)
Lonoke Baptist Church will hold its annual Fall Fest on Sunday (10/26/14) from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Conway County Fairgrounds Multi-Purpose Building in Morrilton.  The event will include free chili, hot dogs, bounce houses, a costume contest and other games.

BLOOD DRIVE (10/27/14)
The American Red Cross will hold blood drives Monday (10/27/14) from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Bigelow High School and from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Walmart in Morrilton.

AUDUBON SOCIETY (10/27/14)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (10/27/14) at 7:00 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Building at Hendrix College in Conway.  The speaker will be Courtney Hatch, associate professor of Biology at Hendrix.  For more information, call Pat Donnell at 977-3899.

Conway County 4-H will hold its annual awards banquet Tuesday (10/28/14) at 6:00 p.m. at the Downtown Church of Christ Family Life Center in Morrilton.

HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION (10/29/14)
There will be a regular meeting of the Morrilton Historic District Commission on Wednesday (10/29/14) at 4:30 p.m. in the small conference room at City Hall.

BLOOD DRIVE (10/30/14)
The American Red Cross will host a blood drive Thursday (10/30/14) from 10:00 a.m.-3;00 p.m. at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.

BEANS AND CORNBREAD LUNCH (10/30/14)
The St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary will host a beans and cornbread lunch and a silent auction on Thursday (10/30/14) from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the hospital Grill Area.  Meals are $6 each.  For carryouts, call 977-2455.

BUDGET COMMITTEE (10/30/14)
The Morrilton City Council Budget Committee will meet Thursday (10/30/14) at 6:00 p.m. at the Wastewater Conference Room.

BLOOD DRIVE (10/31/14)
The American Red Cross will have a blood drive Friday (10/31/14) from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Wonderview High School.

MONSTERS ON MAIN STREET (10/31/14)
Main Street Morrilton will host its annual Monsters on Main Street from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday (10/31/14) in downtown Morrilton.  Candy and treats will be available to trick-or-treaters at participating merchants.  There will also be a fortune teller, dance performance, face painting and other activities.  A costume contest will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre.  All activities are free, but concessions will be available for purchase.

TRUCK OR TREAT (10/31/14)
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in the Hillcreek Community north of Plumerville will hold a Truck of Treat event with games and food for kids.  Everyone is welcome.

VETERANS PARADE (11/1/14)
The eighth annual Veterans Parade in downtown Plumerville will be held Saturday (11/1/14) beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Entertainment and activities in the park will start at noon.  Food will also be available.  For more information or parade entries or setting up a booth, call 208-3467.
