STRAWBERRY SALE (2/8/12)
The UACCM Relay for Life team is selling chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day. The price is $13/lb for regular strawberries and $16/lb for long-stem strawberries. The deadline to order is Wednesday (2/8/12). Call 977-2066.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL COUNCIL (2/8/12)
The Conway County Intergovernmental Council will meet Wednesday (2/8/12) at 9:00 a.m. in the first floor conference room of the courthouse. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the possible purchase of the old post office building and the hiring of a 911 administrator.
JUST DESSERTS (2/9/12)
The UACCM Foundation is hosting its tenth annual Just Desserts fundraiser on Thursday (2/9/12) from 5:30-8:00 p.m. in the UACCM Plaza. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for kids age 6-12. RELAY CHAIR DEADLINE (2/10/12)
The deadline to nominate an individual for honorary chairperson of the Conway/Perry County Relay for Life has been extended to Friday (2/10/12). Nomination forms are available at all U.S. Bank locations, Crow Paving and Adams Eye Care.
HIKES, HEARTS AND HUGS (2/11/12-2/12/12)
Petit Jean State Park's annual Hikes, Hearts and Hugs event will be held Saturday (2/11/12) and Sunday (2/12/12). Planned programs are geared toward couples and include several guided hikes. BASEBALL REGISTRATION (2/11/12)
The Plumerville Youth Association will hold baseball and softball registration on Saturday (2/11/12) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Community Room located between the Plumerville Police and Fire stations. Boys from Tee ball through age 16 can sign up for baseball. Softball registration is for teams from ages 6 and under through ages 16 and under. Cost for participation is $50 for one child, $75 for two children, and $90 for three or more siblings. Children will be sized for uniforms on registration day. The Knights of Columbus Council 6680 in New Dixie is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti and sausage dinner on Saturday (2/11/12) from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at the St. Boniface Hall in New Dixie. SWEETHEART ROUND-UP (2/12/12)
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Highway 9 will be hosting a Sweetheart Round-Up fellowship for ages 2-12 on Sunday (2/12/12) at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided for kids and their families. The event will include games, crafts, devotional and exchanging of Valentine cards.
MOVIE SHOWING (2/12/12)
First Baptist Church in Perryville will be showing the movie, "Courageous," on Sunday (2/12/12) at 6:00 p.m. Banana splits and sundaes will be served in the fellowship hall after the movie. Everyone is welcome.
LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING (2/13/12)
The Logic and Accuracy testing on the I-Votronic voting machines for the upcoming Plumerville special election will be held Monday (2/13/12) beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Courthouse Annex adjacent to the Conway County Courthouse.
VALENTINE PROGRAM (2/13/12)
The Melt Her Heart with Chocolate program will be held Monday (2/13/12) from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Max Milam Library in Perryville. The make-and-take program is designed for men only. Reservations are encouraged, but not required. Call 889-2554.
