CHILI SUPPER (9/30/16)
A chili supper and raffle will be held at the Lanty Community Building on Friday (9/30/16) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Different kinds of chili, along with hot dogs and dessert will be sold for $5 for adults and $3 for kids age 12 and under. The raffle includes ten different prize packages, each valued at $85 or more. Raffle tickets are $1 each and are available by calling Jane McClaren at 354-0271 or Martha McClaren at 354-5729. All proceeds will go toward the Lanty Community Building Fund.
WONDERVIEW FALL FESTIVAL (9/30/16)
Wonderview School will hold its annual fall festival on Friday (9/30/16) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the school gym. There will be Bingo, games, a bounce house, food and a raffle. Everyone is welcome.
COUNTRY MUSIC TRIBUTE (9/30/16-10/1/16)
The Rialto Community Arts Center in downtown Morrilton will host a tribute to the legends of country music, "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes," on Friday (9/30/16) and Saturday (10/1/16) at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and free for kids under the age of 10. THE ADDAMS FAMILY (9/30/16-10/2/16)
Red Curtain Theatre will present its production of The Addams Family-A New Musical Comedy on Friday (9/30/16) at 7:00 p.m., Saturday (10/1/16) at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday (10/2/16) at 2:00 p.m. at the Treischmann Fine Arts Building at Hendrix College in Conway. The Perryville Masonic Lodge will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday (10/1/16) from 7:00-10:00 a.m. at the lodge hall. The price is $6 for adults.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will hold an ACT training course on Saturday, October 8, from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Registration is $40 and the deadline to register is Saturday (10/1/16). SPRINGFIELD REUNION (10/1/16)
The Springfield Community and the Springfield School Days Reunion will take place Saturday (10/1/16) at the old Springfield Schoolhouse. GOAT FESTIVAL (10/1/16)
The first-ever Arkansas Goat Festival will take place Saturday (10/1/16) from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. at the city park in Perryville. Events include a goat costume contest, goat parade, goat races, goat-themed art show, a celebrity goat milking contest, cheese making and tasting demos, live music, food and vendors. Miracle Lighthouse on Bridge Street in Morrilton will hold its monthly open singing on Saturday (10/1/16) at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served afterwards and everyone is welcome.
YOUTH BASKETBALL REGISTRATION (10/3/16)
The Morrilton Parks and Recreation Department will begin registration for its youth basketball season for grades 3-6 on Monday (10/3/16). The cost is $50 for one child, $90 for two children or $120 for three or more children in the same family. Registration can be completed at the Parks and Rec office at the city ballfields. QUILT DRAWING (10/3/16)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital Auxiliary will hold a drawing for a queen size Irish Chain quilt on Monday (10/3/16). Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available at the hospital gift shop or front desk, from any Auxiliary member or by calling 977-2454. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a canopy for the front entrance of the hospital.
MHRC STATE OF AFFAIRS (10/3/16)
The Morrilton Human Relations Council will be presenting the state of affairs for the non-profit organization on Monday (10/3/16) at 11:30 a.m. at the T.C. Vaughan Senior Activity Center in Morrilton. Executive Director Loretta Parish will discuss all the programs and services offered by the MHRC for senior citizens. Everyone is welcome.

The Plumerville Senior Citizens monthly potluck luncheon will be held Wednesday (10/5/16) at 11:30 a.m. in the Plumerville Senior Center. All area senior citizens are invited.
FALL FESTIVAL (10/7/16)
Nemo Vista School will hold its annual Fall Festival on Friday (10/7/16) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the new gym. Activities include Bingo, silent auction, petting zoo, cake walk, and other games and food. Everyone is welcome.
PLUMERVILLE HOMECOMING (10/7/16-10/8/16)
The annual Plumerville Homecoming and Reunion will take place Friday (10/7/16) and Saturday (10/8/16). A chili supper will start at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Plumeville Fire Department. A pancake breakfast will be served Saturday at 7:00 a.m. Hamburger lunches will be sold at noon Saturday and a display of pictures and memorabilia will be available for viewing in the Community Room Friday night and Saturday. BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER (10/8/16)
The Cherry Hill Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring a breakfast at the fire station on Cherry Hill Loop on Saturday (10/8/16) from 7:00-10:00 a.m. The menu includes eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, pancakes, coffee, milk and orange juice. There will be no per plate charge, but donations will be accepted.

RIVERVIEW FALL FESTIVAL (10/8/16)
Riverview Baptist Christian School at Oppelo will hold its annual fall festival on Saturday (10/8/16). A turkey and dressing dinner with all the trimmings will be served in the cafeteria from 4:30-7:00 p.m. for $9 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, $7 for children age 5-12 and free for kids under age 5. Carryouts will be available. There will also be activities and games for all ages, including a silent auction, in the gym from 6:00-7:30, followed by the crowning of the king and queen and a live auction.

The Center Ride Fire Department will hold an all-you-can-eat chili supper on Saturday (10/8/16) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the fire station. Meals are $8 each and include a drink and dessert. The department is also selling chances on a Yeti Hopper 30 Cooler for $1 each or 6 for $5. Proceeds will be used to help build a new fire station.
HOSPITALITY TRAINING WORKSHOP (10/10/16)

The City of Morrilton will hold an open house and offer tours of its new city hall complex on Wednesday (10/12/16) from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The new city hall is located in the former U.S. Bank building at 119 North Division Street.

The Conway County Care Center will wrap up its annual Harvest of Hope food drive on Saturday (10/29/16). Donations will be collected at the "Fill the Truck" event from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Haynes Home Center in Morrilton. The Gospel singing fundraiser will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre in downtown Morrilton. Admission is $5 or five cans of food for adults and $3 or three cans of food for children.
