Morrilton Intermediate School will have a Leader in Me event on Thursday (4/24/14).  Community leaders are invited to the program presented by 4th, 5th and 6th grade students at 8:30 a.m.  Parents and family members are invited to the 6:00 p.m. program.

SCHOOL COUNTS! CEREMONY (4/24/14)
The Conway County School Counts! Foundation will honor its 2014 graduates in a ceremony at Morrilton High School's H.B. White Auditorium on Thursday (4/24/14) at 9:00 a.m.

CONWAY CO. ELECTION COMMISSION (4/24/14)
The Conway County Election Commission will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 9:00 a.m. in the first floor conference room of the courthouse to prepare for an election in the event of a runoff from the May primary.

PERRY CO. ELECTION COMMISSION (4/24/14)
The Perry County Election Commission will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 9:00 a.m. at its office in Perryville to perform logic and accuracy testing, name polling locations and appoint election officials for the May primary election.

RETIRED TEACHERS (4/24/14)
The Conway County Retired Teachers Association will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 10:00 a.m. at the Harding Street Church of Christ annex in Morrilton.  All retired personnel from a school system in Conway County and those who live in the county and retired from schools in other counties are encouraged to attend.

TRAVEL CLUB (4/24/14)
The Arkansas International Travel Club will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 6:00 p.m. at the Faulkner County Library in Conway.  Anyone interested in international travel is welcome to attend.

PLUMERVILLE P&Z (4/24/14)
The Plumerville Planning Zoning Commission will hold a special meeting on Thursday (4/24/14) at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room by the Police Department.

SPRINGFIELD MASONIC LODGE (4/24/14)
The Springfield Lodge of Free Masons will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 7:00 p.m.

ENDZONE CLUB (4/24/14)
The Morrilton Endzone Club will meet Thursday (4/24/14) at 7:00 p.m. in the junior high cafeteria.

PETIT JEAN SUMMER DAY CAMP (4/25/14)
Petit Jean State Park will host a summer day camp for kids age 8-12 from June 16-19.  The cost is $150 per camper.  For reservations or more information, call the park interpreter's office at 727-6510.

WONDERVIEW KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (4/25/14)
KIndergarten registration for the Wonderview School District continues through Friday (4/25/14).  Any child living in the district who will be five years old on or before August 1, 2014 is eligible.  Parents may come by the elementary office during normal business hours to register their child.

MPS REGISTRATION (4/25/14)
Morrilton Primary School Kindergarten Registration Day is Friday (4/25/14) from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.  Parents will need to bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, Social Security card, current shot records and recent physical.  For more information, call 354-9423.

BLOOD DRIVE (4/25/14)
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held Friday (4/25/14) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Perryville United Methodist Church.  The UAMS Mammogram Van will be there from 9:00-4:00 that day.  Pre-registration is required for the mammograms.  Call Becky Camp at 889-5314.

BBQ FUNDRAISER (4/25/14)
The Dugout Dolls softball team of Morrilton is taking orders for BBQ plate lunches from Road Hog BBQ to be delivered to your office on Friday (4/25/14).  The $8 lunches include a sandwich, baked beans, slaw and potato salad.  To order, call 773-6301.  Meals will also be sold that day from the NAPA parking lot in Morrilton.

RALLY FOR THE RISEN KING (4/25/14)
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is sponsoring a Rally for the Risen King on Friday (4/25/14) at 7:00 p.m. in the Wonderview High School gym.  The event will feature Christian musical artist Rocky "RapidFire" Thomas and featured speaker Brother Todd West, and admission is free.

BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER (4/26/14)
The Perryville Masonic Lodge will be serving breakfast on Saturday (4/26/14) from 7:00-10:00 a.m. at the lodge hall.  Cost of the all-you-can-eat meal is $6 per person.

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING (4/26/14)
The logic and accuracy testing on the I-Votronic voting machines in Conway County for the May primary election will be held Saturday (4/26/14) beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the courthouse annex.

SEVER WX PREP DAY (4/26/14)
Kroger, along with Conway County Emergency Services, will host a severe weather preparedness day in the Kroger parking lot on Saturday (4/26/14) from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  Weather radios will be available for purchase with free programming.  Fire and police departments will have equipment on display, and Air Evac and Baptist Med Flight helicopters will be there, weather permitting.  In addition, Modern Woodmen of America will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs.

PETIT JEAN RELAY FOR LIFE (4/26/14)
The Petit Jean Mountain Extension Homemakers Club will hold its Relay for Life on Saturday (4/26/14).  The team will be walking trails in the park area for donations from 1:00-7:00 p.m.  A hamburger cookout will be held from 5:00-7:00 in the picnic area of Pavilion A.  If you'd like to donate, call Sandy Shaw at 727-5259.

CAJUN FETE (4/26/14)
Sacred Heart Catholic School will hold its annual Cajun Fete fundraiser on Saturday (4/26/14) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the school gym.  Tickets are $35 each and are available at the school office, Merle Norman and More, and online at www.sacredheartmorrilton.org.

BLOOD DRIVE (4/28/14)
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Monday (4/28/14) from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Perryville High School.

AUDUBON SOCIETY (4/28/14)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (4/28/14) at 7:00 p.m. in Room 13 of the Donald W. Reynolds Building at Hendrix College.  Sally Entrekin, assistant professor at UCA, will be speaking on head water streams in Arkansas.

PESTICIDE APPLICATOR TRAINING (5/13/14)
The Conway County Extension Office will host a pesticide applicator training on Tuesday (5/13/14) at 6:00 p.m. at the UACCM Auditorium.  A $10 training fee is payable at the door.  For more information, call the Extension Office at 354-9618.
