All public schools in Arkansas are closed for the remainder of the school year. The South Conway County School District will communicate further details later regarding instruction.

The South Conway County School District will continue to provide meals for children up to age 18 during the time the district is closed for the coronavirus quarantine. To obtain meals, a family can place an order on Fridays before 10:00 by texting (501) 232-7502 or online at Let them now how many lunches are needed and your pickup location. Meals for the entire week will be distributed on Mondays between 11:00 and 11:30 in the parking lots at Morrilton High School, Cherokee Courts, The Lord’s Schoolhouse Community Center, Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church, Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, Arch Ford Educational Cooperative in Plumerville, First Baptist Church of Oppelo, Menifee City Hall and Lewisburg Store.

Nemo Vista School District is offering grab and go meals on Mondays and Wednesdays. From 10:30 to noon, patrons can pull through the Elementary drop off line and pick up one hot meal and one cold meal for each student free of charge.

Wonderview School District will continue to provide meals for children aged one through 18. You must place an order on Mondays between 9:00 and noon for five days of meals to be picked up on Tuesdays at the cafeteria between 11:00 -11:30 a.m.  If you received meals before spring break, you are already on the list for meals and do not need to call. If you did not get them, call the District Office at 354-0211.

The Morrilton Community Center is closed until further notice under order from the Arkansas Governor.

The City of Morrilton and the Morrilton Police Department, and Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce offices are closed to the public.  You're asked to conduct all business over the phone until further notice. For general assistance, the street department or trash and recycle questions, call 354-1556.  For the city inspector or code enforcement, call 354-8020. For the wastewater department, call 977-5037. For the city clerk, Norma Cody or Megan Dennis, call 354-3484.  To have curbside limbs removed, call 354-5299.  

The Morrilton Police Department and Conway County Sheriff’s Office have implemented temporary adjustments to their operating procedures.  Many non-violent and misdemeanor reports will only be taken over the phone by calling 354-0131 for the police department and 354-2411 for the Sheriff’s Office.  Officers may also ask the public to meet them outside of homes and businesses where appropriate. In addition, both departments are temporarily closing pre-employment fingerprinting service... 

In order to continue to provide service without interruption to the citizens of Conway County, all county offices at the Conway County Courthouse will remain open and fully staffed however will be closed to public access, until further notice, (with the exception: already scheduled circuit court dates). These measures are being taken as a precaution to aid in preventing the spread of COVI D-19 within our county. You can continue to conduct business as usual by phone. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is waiving penalties for late motor vehicle registration and tag renewal. If your license plate tag expires this month, you need to renew by April 15th. If you have purchased a vehicle, they request that you pay your taxes within 30 days. Vehicle registration and renewal may be completed online at mydmv dot arkansas dot gov. Renewal is also available by phone at 1-800-941-2580. 

Conway County District Court has now cancelled all court for the month of April. They are sending out notices in the mail and you can call 501-354-9615 for your correct court date.

All Conway County Center for Exceptional Children services (ACTION, Beginnings, Step by Step) will remain closed through April 17th. 

Until further notice, the Conway County Care Center will not accept material donations and the thrift store will remain closed. Staff will distribute food on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm in the back alleyway via drive through. Clients are asked to stay in their vehicles and a staff member or volunteer will come out to assist with food distribution. Monetary donations can be made online at or by check via mail to P.O. UACCM is monitoring guidance and best practices from local, state, and federal agencies and announced Friday that it will extend online delivery for all classes through Friday, April 17th.  Following the recommendations of the University of Arkansas System, U-A-C-C-M will also postpone its May 15th spring commencement until after June First. Campus operations will also close through Friday, April 17th, with staff and faculty moving to telecommuting.  In addition, summer and fall registration for new students, originally scheduled on March 30th, will be postponed, the Earle Love Child Care Center is closed, all U-A-C-C-M Adult Education Centers are closed and all community education classes are cancelled through April 17th.

The Conway County Library will be closed until further notice. This includes all Bookmobile operations. No fines will accrue during this time frame. 24 hour WiFi will be made available (accessible in the parking lot) and eBooks will remain available. Free bags of books are being placed outside the library at 10:00 a.m. each day. Limit one per person. 

Morrilton Medical Clinic will be implementing screenings that will begin in the vestibule prior to entering the waiting room.  Individuals who are not sick will be allowed into the waiting room. Individuals who are sick will be asked to wait in their car so that a nurse can communicate with you via phone and decide how best you can be seen.  Staff are also asking that only patients be brought into the clinic...

Local nursing homes are restricting all family and friends from on-site visits at this time.  This critical decision is based on a recommendation by the Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control.  Officials at Brookridge Cove Rehabilitation and Care Center in Morrilton say you are welcome to call the facility to get updates on the status and health of your loved ones and you're welcome to contact your loved one via phone...

The Arkansas State Police has made changes in the administration of driver's license testing.  State police will continue to offer the testing services, but the written test will only be administered at the Arkansas State Police office at 765 Hob Knob Road in Russellville. Testing agents will limit the total number of applicants to five at any given time, and the tests will be administered from eight to 11:30 a.m. and from one to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.  No road/skills testing will be given through April 17.

The Morrilton Human Relations Council has announced that senior adult centers in Morrilton and Perryville will be closed until further notice.  However, home delivered meal routes will continue and curbside pickup for individuals over 60 needing a noon meal will be available at both locations. Meals are $3. You can call before 9:00 a.m. to order and meals will be available for pick-up between 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The Conway County Tax Collector's office is closed to public access and no in office transactions will be conducted until further notice.  All payments are to be made by mail or online at The office will be staffed and you may call 501-354-9600 during normal business hours for assistance.  

The Conway County Tax Assessor’s office is closed to the public, and assessor Mark Stobaugh has announced that you can call his office at 354-9622 to have property assessed. Your assessment can be sent by mail, email or fax to any revenue office.  

Centennial Bank in Morrilton is offering drive-thru service only until further notice; Petit Jean State Bank’s lobbies are closed, but they continue to offer drive-thru, ATM, online and mobile banking. Other banking services may be scheduled by calling 354-4988; Farmers and Merchants Bank has also closed its lobbies for now, but ATM, drive-thru and mobile app and website services remain open.

The Morrilton Knights of Columbus is cancelling its Monday night Bingo until further notice due to public health concerns.

Harris Funeral Home is suspending any and all public gatherings associated with the funeral home. Any services or visitations scheduled will be limited to the immediate family only. This includes parents, spouse, children, grandchildren, grandparents, and siblings only. Harris Funeral Home can also make arrangements via telephone and internet. Although the general public will be unable to sign the guestbook, they can sign the online guestbook at or call the office at 354-4575 and they will add your name to the physical book. They will soon be offering to upload the recorded funeral service to their Facebook page with the permission from each family.

Entergy Arkansas announced it has suspended service disconnections for 30 days.  Entergy encourages customers to make payments on their account if possible, and will work directly with customers to make payment arrangements if they are unable to pay in full.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, for the safety of their patients, York Spinal Care will be closing their office for the week of March 30th thru April 3rd, at which time they will reevaluate. If you need assistance please leave a message on the office voice mail as they will be checking it daily.

The Conway County Farm Bureau's lobby is closed until further notice for the safety and protection of everyone in their office due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Staff is available each weekday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and can assist members by phone, fax or email. All insurance related matters and other member services will be handled this way. The main contact number is 501-354-0101, and the fax number is 501-354-0546.  The toll free claims reporting number is 866-275-7322. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Here are some retailers who have let us know that they are providing curbside service for customers who do not wish to leave their vehicles: Agri Coop Supply in Morrilton and Perryville, Arka Valley Liquor in Blackwell, Haynes Home Center in Morrilton and Weiss Lumber in Perryville.  Speights Auto Parts also offers curbside delivery, and they have reduced their hours to seven to five Monday through Friday; eight to four on Saturday and are closed on Sundays.

Retailers that remain open encourage you to practice social distancing in their store. Shop alone if possible; don't bring your family or group of people with you, and be sure to keep as much space between yourself and other shoppers.

Edward Jones Investments' lobby is closed until further notice for the COVID-19 pandemic. But if the stock market is open, then the local Edward Jones office staff is available by phone. Payments may be made through the front slot on the door.
Petit Jean Meats has suspended shipping for the time being due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
