The Plumerville Church of Christ invites all women to its Ladies' Bible class every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. "A Trip Around the World for Jesus" Ladies' Day will be held May 25, in which Vickie, Katie and Andrea Libby will speak about their missionary work with ladies and children in Ghana.

A benefit account has been set up at Petit Jean State Bank to help with medical expenses for Ben Meuir, who has been diagnosed with MDS. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

THE WIZARD OF OZ (THRU 5/26/19)
The Rialto Community Arts Center will present their spring musical, The Wizard of Oz, May 16th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, & 25th at 7:00 p.m., and May 19th & 26th at 2:00 p.m.. Tickets are available online at www.rialtomorrilton.com or at the door. Everyone is encouraged to purchase advanced tickets because the performances are expected to be sold out.

MPS KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (4/18/19)
Morrilton Primary School will hold its Kindergarten pre-registration for the 2019-20 school year on Thursday (4/18/19) from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. You're asked to bring a copy of the child's birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization information, physical assessment and proof of residency.  A child must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2019 to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.

PERRY COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION (4/18/19)
The Perry County Election Commission will meet Thursday (4/18/19) at 4:30 p.m. at the Perry County Courthouse in Perryville to discuss the Wye polling location and select poll workers for the May 21st school election.

NAACP (4/18/19)
The Conway County branch NAACP will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday (4/18/19) at 6:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Education Complex in Plumerville.

BAKE SALE (4/19/19)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary will host an Easter bake sale on Friday (4/19/19) starting at 7:00 a.m. in the hospital dining room. All proceeds benefit the exterior improvement project at the hospital.

CONWAY COUNTY COMMODITIES (4/19/19)
ARVAC will issue quarterly commodities for all qualifying Conway County residents on Friday (4/19/19) from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Morrilton. Clients will need to bring their driver's license and know all household information such as income, social security numbers and birthdays for all household members.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE (4/19/19)
Family Life Worship Center in Morrilton will hold its Good Friday service at 6:00 p.m. Friday (4/19/19). There will be special music and drama and a message on "Reflections from the Cross." Everyone is welcome.

Plumerville First Baptist Church invites everyone to its Good Friday service at the Plumerville City Park on Friday (4/19/19) at 6:00 p.m., followed by an egg hunt for the kids.

MT PLEASANT CEMETERY CLEANUP (4/20/19)
There will be a work day in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Hillcreek community on Saturday (4/20/19). Please bring your own tools.

CEREAL DRIVE (4/20/19)
The Conway County Care Center will hold its summer cereal drive on Saturday (4/20/19) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Kroger in Morrilton.

PERRY CHAMBER CLEAN-UP (4/20/19)
The Perry County Area Chamber of Commerce will hold another clean-up day at its office located at the Hidden Gallery in Perryville on Saturday (4/20/18), starting at 9:30 a.m. Anyone who would like to help is asked to bring their own yard tools.


EASTER EGG HUNT (4/20/19)
The City of Ola is having a community Easter Egg hunt for ages 0 to 6th grade at the Ola City Park on Saturday (4/20/19) beginning at 10:00 a.m.

CAR SHOW (4/20/19)
The CC Kruzzers Car Club will host its 8th Annual Kruz-in in the Park Shine and Show on Saturday (4/20/19) from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Morrilton City Park. There will be no fees, judging or trophies. The club will be holding a membership drive and serving free hot dogs and drinks. For more information, call Gene Williams at 977-5253.

EASTER EGG HUNT (4/20/19)
Ms. Bernie's Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday (4/20/19) at the Hattieville Baptist Church. Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. and hunt will start at 11:00. There will be lots of prizes, candy-filled eggs and other goodies. Everyone is welcome.

EASTER SERVICES (4/21/19)
Kilgore Free Will Baptist Church on Hwy 9 north of Morrilton will have Sunrise Services on Sunday (4/21/19) at 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast. Morning service will be at 10:00 a.m., followed by an Easter egg hunt for kids. Communion and foot washing services will be held at 5:00 p.m.

The Plumerville First Baptist Church invites everyone to a special community Easter service at the church on Sunday (4/21/19) at 11:00 a.m.

VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE (4/22/19)
Monday (4/22/19) is the deadline to register to vote in the annual school election. The election will be held May 21st. Early voting will start May 14th.

CONWAY COUNTY QUORUM COURT (4/22/19)
The Conway County Quorum Court will meet Monday (4/22/19) at 6:00 p.m. at the courthouse in Morrilton.

MENIFEE TOWN COUNCIL (4/22/19)
The Menifee Town Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday (4/22/19) at 6:00 p.m. at Menifee Town Hall.

AUDUBON SOCIETY (4/22/19)
The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet Monday (4/22/19) at 7:00 p.m. in the Visitors Center at Lake Dardanelle State Park. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.

MHS AWARDS (4/25/19)
Morrilton High School will hold its spring awards assembly on Thursday (4/25/19) at 1:00 p.m. in H.B. White Auditorium. Parents and guests are welcome to attend and are asked to sit in the back section on the lower floor of the auditorium.

NEMO VISTA SCHOOL BOARD (4/25/19)
The Nemo Vista School Board will meet Thursday (4/25/19) at 6:30 p.m. in the Administration building.

PERRY COUNTY YARD SALE (4/26/19-4/27/19)
Perry County is holding a countywide yard sale event on Friday (4/26/19) and Saturday (4/27/19) from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. both days. You can have your personal yard sale promoted by the Perry County Area Chamber of Commerce for $15 by calling 889-1571 or you can rent a 12x12 space at the Perry County Fairgrounds for $15 by calling Joleeta Scott at 501-472-1031.

PERRY CHAMBER BANQUET (4/26/19)
The Perry County Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet and awards ceremony on Friday (4/26/19) at the Perryville United Methodist Church Connection Center. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The event includes Jeopardy! Perry County Edition, a silent auction, dinner catered by Mustang Sally's and the presentation of awards. Tickets are $20 each or $250 for a table of eight. Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber office or Farmers and Merchants Bank in Perryville, by calling 889-1571 or by emailing pcchamber@windstream.net.

OWENS CEMETERY CLEAN-UP (4/27/19)
Owens Cemetery will hold its spring clean-up all day Saturday (4/27/19). Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools. For more information, call Mark Calvin at 354-2446.

ANGUS FIELD DAY (4/27/19)

CAJUN FETE (4/27/19)
Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton will host its annual Cajun Fete fundraiser on Saturday (4/27/19) from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the school gym/Ruff Auditorium. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat cajun feast are $35 in advance or $40 after April 20th. They can be purchased in the school office, at Merle Norman and More in Morrilton, or online at www.sacredheartmorrilton.org. The ticket price also includes an "After Party" featuring music by DJ Phil Blaylock from 8:00-10:00 p.m.

LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING (4/30/19)
The Perry County Election Commission will conduct logic and accuracy testing and a public test for the May 21st school election on Tuesday (4/30/19) beginning at 9:00 a.m. Testing will be held at the early vote office in the former Roland Drug building across from the courthouse in Perryville and is open to the public.

AUTHOR VISIT (4/30/19)
Kathleen Duxbury, author of a series of books about the Civilian Conservation Corps, particularly artists who brought this period of American history to life through their creations, will speak and share her latest work on Tuesday (4/30/19) at 7:00 p.m. in the Legacy Room of Mather Lodge at Petit Jean State Park. The event is free and open to the public.

FARMERS' MARKET (5/2/19)
Main Street Morrilton will hold a Farmers' Market on Thursday (5/2/19) during its monthly First Thursday event from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The market will be located at the 100 block of Commerce Street and will be held rain or shine.

PICKLEFEST PAGEANT REGISTRATION (5/3/19)
Friday (5/3/19) is the deadline to register for the annual Picklefest Pageant, which will be held May 11th at the Atkins High School Auditorium. The pageant is open to boys 0 and up, girls up to age 20 and ladies age 21 and up. Entry fee is $25 and the attire is casual wear only. AUDUBON CONVENTION (5/3/19-5/5/19)
The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain will host the 2019 Arkansas Audubon Society Spring Convention May 3-5. The convention is open to non-members. Registration is $25 for members and $35 for non-members and can be completed online at www.arbirds.org.

KICKBALL TOURNAMENT (5/4/19)
The 4th Annual Roos Roofing Kicking Cancer Co-ed Kickball Tournament will take place Saturday (5/4/19) at the Morrilton city ball fields. Entry fee for the double-elimination tournament is $100 per team. There will also be a live auction bake sale, food and games. All proceeds will benefit A.J. WALK IN THE WOODS (5/4/19)
The Petit Jean Mountain Extension Homemakers Club will sponsor the Petit Jean Mountain 5K "Walk in the Woods" on Saturday (5/4/19).  Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Petit Jean State Park main swimming pool area and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Entry fee is $20 for all ages and all proceeds support the Room 29:11 Promise House.

STUFF THE SQUAD CAR (5/4/19)
The local Wives of Armor chapter will hold its Stuff the Squad Car event on Saturday (5/4/19) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Walmart in Morrilton. Members will be collecting food, diapers, home essentials and other products to benefit the Southern Christian Home.
